Suzy Tan is a freelance Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) translator, with a background in early childhood education. She taught students from preschool to elementary as well as adult learners that are ESOL (English as Second and Other Languages) speakers.
She is a native New Yorker, growing up in Manhattan's Chinatown - and has been exposed to an intercultural community since she was young, immersing both the Chinese and American cultures. Since both of her parents have a language barrier, she has been using her translation skills since she was a child.
Suzy is a big Asian drama binge-watcher, usually watching Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese series. Even though she is a native New Yorker, she likes exploring the city for food, sceneries, and events.
Additionally, she likes traveling. So far, she traveled to mainly the Asia continent but she also visited Canada and Mexico. Eventually, she wants to go to other parts of the world too!
