Mayra has been part of University Settlement Adult Literacy for seven years, starting as a student in the program and then taking part in different roles such as Counselor, Literacy Zone Coordinator, and her current one as Assistant Director. She is passionate about assisting and connecting the immigrant community with the available resources in the city. She is a native from Ecuador, where she developed a career in PR, corporate communications, and event planning.
Mayra enjoys learning languages, going swimming with her little son, watching Formula 1 races, dancing salsa, and learning to cook dishes from around the world.
