Faye has a strong affiliation with the Chinatown community, demonstrated through her various roles and activities. She has served as a journalist at the Sing Tao Daily Newspaper, as well as a Marketing & Events Planner for the Chinatown B.I.D. Additionally, she has volunteered with the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and worked as an Auxiliary Police Officer with the NYPD 5th precinct.

Faye has also spent three years as a Counselor in University Settlement's Adult Literacy Program. Alongside her responsibilities as a Project Manager, Faye currently instructs Technology & Communication to students with developmental disabilities in the EXCEL program at the Houston Street Center of University Settlement.

Faye is the proud mother of three large dogs: Lucky, a 10-year-old husky who sheds twice a year, with each shedding period lasting 6 months; Broly, a 6-year-old Lab-mix who enthusiastically barks at every little movement; and Toby, a 2-year-old German Shepherd who has a penchant for chewing on the corners of the wooden stairs.
